Formed in 1996, Shaktishali Mahila Sangthan Samiti (SMSS) is a voluntary organization registered under the Madhya Pradesh Society Registration Act, 1973. Started by a group of like-minded and self-motivated social workers, the organization strives to improve the quality of life of various disadvantaged groups living in the hilly tribal district of Shivpuri. Empowering women, and transforming communities – this is the driving force behind Shaktishali Mahila Sangthan Samiti (SMSS) to improve the lives of women and children in rural areas. Since its incorporation, SMSS has been tirelessly working towards various initiatives such as promoting health and nutrition, building sanitation facilities, and providing skill development programs for women. With a team of dedicated members, volunteers, and Suposhon Sakhis, SMSS has made significant strides in reducing malnutrition, improving access to clean water, and empowering women through education and training.
